Elon Musk’s Transgender Daughter Files To Change Her Last Name: ‘I No Longer’ Wish To Be ‘Related’ To Him

Elon Musk’s transgender daughter is leg’a’lly changing her name as she wants nothing to do with her dad.

The Tesla CEO’s daughter has filed a petition to the Los Angeles County Superior Court in order to change her name to Vivian Jenna Wilson, the surname being that of her mum – Musk’s ex-wife Justine Wilson.

According to the 18-year-old, the reason she’s changing her full name is to reflect her identity, and because ‘I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form’.

Future proceedings on the case are scheduled for June 24 at the Santa Monica, Los Angeles courthouse. On June 18, Elon took to Twitter to post a simple message, seemingly in response to the news.

“I love all my kids so much,” the SpaceX founder tweeted. Elon notably tweeted on July 24 of 2020, “Pronouns suck.” He took to the platform again on December 16 of that year to tweet, “I absolutely support trans, but these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare.”

Although neither Musk nor Vivian have spoken publicly about their relationship or her transition, some have suggested her decision to get her surname changed is sparked by the SpaceX boss’s recent comments about the transgender community.

In response to a tweet about a recent documentary by right wing political commentator Matt Walsh, titled What is a Woman?, the 50-year-old businessman questioned gender-affirming surgeries.

“We are simultaneously being told that gender differences do not exist and that genders are so profoundly different that irreversible surgery is the only option,” he wrote.

“Perhaps someone wiser than me can explain this dichotomy,” later adding: “It is a better world if we are all less judgy.”
